I hope you’re taking some time for yourself during this holiday week — to reflect, recharge, and refocus. I know we’re all ready to say goodbye and good riddance to the longest year of our lifetimes, and we’re eager to usher in a brand new year.
Looking ahead to 2021, there is an incredible amount of work we’ll need to do. COVID-19 has exposed a bright light on deep inequities within our society. We need to ensure healthcare for all, a roof over everyone’s head, real strategies to combat climate change, progressive criminal justice reform, educational and economic opportunities for everyone, a social safety net that protects all of us, and more.
To accomplish this, we need to incorporate these aspirations into the agenda of the California Democratic Party. In a few short weeks, the upcoming Assembly Delegate elections will determine the future of our state’s Democratic Party.
Please ensure that your voice is represented in our Democratic Party by requesting your mail-in ballot now to vote for our Party’s leadership.
When you request your ballot, you will receive a unique code. Please write this code down and save it. You will need the code to complete your ballot when it is mailed to you. For more information about this election, please visit the 2021 Assembly District Election Meeting (ADEM) website.
- Ballots must be requested no later than January 11th.
- The California Democratic Party will begin mailing out ballots the first week of January.
- All ballots must be received by the Party before January 27th.
Endorsed Candidates: Vote For the Rise Together Slate
I’m proud to endorse the Rise Together slate — a diverse group of 14 progressive candidates from across San Francisco’s Assembly District 17 who will fight for our values within the Democratic Party.
I endorsed the Rise Together slate because these candidates are amazing activists and organizers with lived experiences that should be represented in the California Democratic Party. They are advocates for immigrants, housing, transit, parents, students, small businesses and the environment. They are working people, including a janitor, a home caregiver, a sprinkler fitter, and public sector employees. They represent the diverse mix of people that makes San Francisco so vibrant. And they are committed to a political agenda that lifts us all up into the future.
Thanks for taking part in our Democratic process – and Happy New Year!
