I wanted to make sure you heard: the Rise Together slate I endorsed in the California Democratic Party Assembly Delegate election all won their races to represent AD 17 in the California Democratic Party!
I’m so proud of this inspiring array of newly elected San Francisco delegates — activists and organizers who represent the diversity of San Francisco. They are working people — including a janitor, a home caregiver, a sprinkler fitter, and public sector employees. They are advocates for immigrants, housing, transit, parents, students, small businesses and the environment. They are LGBTQ+, Latinx, Black, Asian Pacific Islander, Iranian, Jewish and Muslim. And they are the progressive champions we need to lead our Party out of this pandemic and recession.
This victory is thanks to all of you — our Chiu Crew. Because of your votes, tweets, texts, calls and emails, AD 17 was one of the districts with the highest participation in this election anywhere in the state.
