Happy Thanksgiving!

From our family to yours, I wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I also want to recognize that this year’s holiday is unlike any we’ve ever had.  For many of us, it will be spent without many of our loved ones.

I profoundly hope that by this time next year, we will be able to gather together safely again. To ensure we get there, I ask you to do your part — by putting off travel plans and staying home.  If you do gather with others, please wear a mask, stay six feet apart, and eat outside if possible.

This isn’t the holiday season any of us wanted this year.  But if we all do our part, we’ll never have another Thanksgiving like it ever again.

Many San Franciscans are facing food insecurity due to our economic crisis — a particularly tragic reality on a holiday we usually spend cooking and eating. If you are in need, don’t hesitate to find a food bank near you.  If you can help, please consider volunteering or contributing to a food bank.  You can find helpful resources by clicking here.

Happy Thanksgiving, and please stay safe!
