Gung Hay Fat Choy! Happy Year of the Ox!

Happy Lunar New Year!

For everyone, this past year has been very difficult, particularly for Asian Pacific Islanders and others who have experienced serious inequities related to health, economic impact and discrimination.

I wish we could be gathering at community reunion meals and watching lion dances and firecrackers.  This Lunar New Year will look different from any before, but Candace, Lucas, and I want to reach out on this first day of the new lunar year and wish you and your loved ones good health, safety and well-being.

2021 is the Year of the Ox, a symbol of strength, conscientiousness, and patience — three things we need a lot of during these tumultuous times.

By standing strong as one community, remaining conscientious of our loved ones and neighbors, and being patient as we await the delivery of a vaccine, we can get through this together.

Gung hay fat choy!  恭喜發財! 新年快樂!
